I got an iPad Pro for my birthday last year with aspirations of using it to get back into art. Although I majored in Studio Art with a focus on painting and drawing many years ago, before the ink on my diploma was dry I was already eyeing a career in product design.
I never really looked back, but every now and then someone asks “do you still draw?” The answer is always a sad “no”, but last weekend I dusted off Procreate after downloading it a year ago.
I sat in my backyard for about an hour and just drew what was in front of me — the rock formation around my pool. It was fun as hell! I have very little idea what I’m doing in Procreate, but it felt somewhat natural and I’m looking forward to continuing to play around and hopefully get better.
